1, 2, 3...

It's officially fall and it's my favorite time of year to take pictures of my babies. So today, I dressed them all up in their fall colors and we headed to the front yard for a photoshoot. Unfortunately, Brandon was already at Octoberfest helping out with Charlie's BBQ booth but there'll be plenty more fall photoshoots for him to be in. He won't get out of them all...hehehe. Mommy was very excited about it. The kids... well, not really but they warmed up to the idea after a while.

Then we had a little fun with the chalk boards. My Handsome Haynes is #1.

Thank you Brookelynn. You're such a big help.

Baby Brookelynn is #2.

Baby #1 and Baby #2. They will always be my precious babies no matter how big they get!

...And Haynes and Brookelynn would like to announce the upcoming arrival of Baby #3!!! Baby #3 is 14 weeks tomorrow and due to arrive in April. Big brother and big sister are so excited - kind of.

OCTOBERFEST

We headed to Moody's Octoberfest after our picture session to partake in the wonderful fall festivities. This is one of the reasons I love fall. Aside from the colors and wonderful weather fall brings, there are always so many festivals! Last weekend, the traveling carnival was in town. We took Haynes and Brookelynn last year and, although they were way to young to do any of the rides, it was sooooo much fun just to go and walk around and eat junk food. Funnel cakes - YUM. This year we didn't make it but it made me happy just to see it around last weekend. I know it will be back soon, it always comes back. Maybe we'll make it next time. So back to Octoberfest... We walked down to the park in our super duper double stroller, found some BBQ at our friend's Charlies BBQ booth where Brandon was helping, and some yummy corn dogs at another for the babies, and then headed over to the music area to hear our friends in the band, Act of Congress, play. It is always so much fun to hear them. They are really good and if you've never heard them, you should. We saw our friends at our church booth, Community Presbyterian and walked around to see the sights. The kids jumped on the bouncy things, we went on a hayride, waited in a lovely line for the bathroom (Haynes didn't wet his pants - YAY!) and then, Mommy was exhausted and we walked back home. Whew. Now it is silent in the house and I am enjoying a quiet moment. Here's a recap from some of the day's fun.

Act of Congress

Brookelynn eating the corndog that was as big as her arm.

Haynsie being all cute.

It took her forever to eat it but she ate almost ALL of it. Girlfriend loves her some corndog.

My babies havin' a grand ole time.

Brookelynn has always been too little for the jumpy things until now. She enjoyed every second of it!
